How do I book AMP Events & Lighting for my event?

Start by contacting us through our website or calling 713-530-1830. We will discuss your vision and event details, then send a proposal and contract outlining the selected package and pricing. A $200 deposit secures your date, and the remaining balance is due 30 days before the event. If you already know your package and enhancements, we can send the invoice and contract directly.

What is the Dancing on a Cloud effect?

Accepted Answer

Dancing on a Cloud uses professional low-lying fog to create the illusion that you are dancing on a cloud. It is ideal for a first dance or another spotlight moment and creates a dramatic look in photos and video. The fog stays close to the floor rather than filling the room. This enhancement is available a la carte for $400.

How does the Audio Guestbook work?

Guests pick up a vintage-style phone and record heartfelt or funny voicemail-style messages during your event. Afterward, we deliver the digital recordings so you can keep the voices of your loved ones forever. The Audio Guestbook is available a la carte for $350 and is also included in our Ultimate package.

Our wedding DJ packages range from $1,500 to $2,500. Pricing depends on the package, enhancements, event duration, and date. Essential, Signature, and Ultimate offer different levels of lighting and keepsake enhancements. A $200 deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due 30 days before the event. Corporate events, birthdays, and other non-formal events receive a custom quote based on their specific needs and duration.

What areas do you serve around Houston and Sugar Land?

We serve the Greater Houston area and surrounding communities, including Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Katy, Pearland, Galveston, College Station, Brenham, Beaumont, Brookshire, and locations throughout Southeast Texas. Venues within 100 miles of Houston do not incur a travel fee. Contact us about events outside that area.

What is included in your standard wedding DJ package?

Every wedding DJ package includes 5 hours of professional DJ and MC coverage for the ceremony and reception, dancefloor lighting, access to our online planning portal and music form, a final details call with your DJ, and vendor coordination. If you are not having a ceremony, that time can be applied to extended reception coverage. Signature adds uplighting and lighting design guidance; Ultimate adds 20 total uplights, an Audio Guestbook, and a custom monogram.

Can you emcee our event and make announcements?

Yes. Professional, tasteful emcee service is included in every DJ package. We handle introductions, grand entrances, timeline announcements, and guest engagement while keeping the attention on the couple or guest of honor. Our delivery is energetic when appropriate and polished during formal or heartfelt moments. A Spanish-speaking DJ/emcee is available with sufficient advance notice.

Do you have backup equipment in case something goes wrong?

Are you insured for events?

Accepted Answer

Yes. AMP Events & Lighting carries liability insurance to protect our team and clients. We can provide a certificate of insurance to your venue upon request, which many Houston-area venues require. Proper insurance is part of our commitment to professional, dependable service.
